Springtime White Wine Sangria with Raspberries and Mango
This refreshing springtime sangria is the drink you make when the sun finally comes out, and you suddenly remember you’re a fun person. It’s bright, citrusy, a little tropical, and honestly… borderline dangerous because it goes down way too easy. 😅

It’s giving backyard hangs, girls’ night, Easter brunch, “I’ll just have one more glass” energy.
I love a sangria situation because it’s a cocktail that is beautiful and yummy with very little effort. Like… chop some fresh fruit, dump some things in a pitcher, walk away.
This springtime sangria is lighter than a red wine sangria, super fresh, and has that perfect balance of citrus + sweetness. I personally prefer white wine to red, which is why this is in my regular entertaining rotation. And I don’t know about y’all, but trying to coordinate a full-on dinner party can be stressful. Cocktails are usually the thing that slips on my to-do list, so having a pitcher of sangria made AHEAD OF TIME is a game-changer.
I’m planning to make this for a chill Easter brunch this weekend, along with spring pea salad, roasted salmon, potatoes, egg bake, and lemon poppyseed scones. My parents and cousins are coming over and we’re going to eat, play games and have an egg hunt for the kids, it’s going to be so much fun. I’m hoping it will be warm enough for us to eat outside! Because nothing screams spring like a glass of sangria and eating on the deck. 😉
Cheers and happy sangria-ing!

A Few Thoughts on What You’ll Need for this White Sangria Recipe:

- Fruit: You really can’t go wrong, but I recommend several varieties of citrus (I used lemon, lime, and cara cara orange), mango (grab Ataulfo mangos if you can find them!), and berries (I use raspberries and strawberries). Feel free to add blackberries, blueberries, grapes or pineapple!
- Juice: For a white wine sangria recipe, I recommend pineapple or white grape juice.
- Liqueur: Any citrus-flavored liqueur will work, like Triple Sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier. I recommend Triple Sec! Elderflower liqueur, like St. Germain, would also be lovely.
- Wine: The beauty of sangria is that you really don’t have to use top-of-the-line wine. Any basic dry white wine or rosé wine is perfect! I used the two-buck-chuck Pinot Grigio from Trader Joe’s. Sauvignon Blanc is another solid choice.
- Something sparkly: I don’t like drinks too sweet, so I top things off with crisp sparkling water. But if you prefer a sweet cocktail, use a little bit of ginger ale or Sprite.
How to Make Springtime Sangria
Place all of the fruit in a large pitcher.

Add the pineapple juice, triple sec, and the bottle of white wine.

Use a wooden spoon to stir, lightly smashing the fruit to help release the fruit juices. Let the sangria sit for at least 4 hours, up to 48 hours for the best flavor.

When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice. Scoop some of the fruit into each glass and pour the sangria over the top. Finish with a splash of sparkling water. Top with fresh mint or basil, if desired!
Expert Tips for Perfect Sangria
- The longer it sits, the better it tastes. Don’t skip the chill time!
- Use a dry white wine so the drink doesn’t end up overly sweet.
- Cut fruit into bite-sized pieces so it’s easy to scoop and eat. You probably won’t end up eating the lemons and limes, so I cut them into slices.
- Add bubbles right before serving so it stays fresh and fizzy.
- If serving for a party, make it the night before and let it do its thing.
- Freeze your glasses ahead of time to keep the drinks extra cold.

FAQs
A crisp, dry white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio works best. I also love it with Rosé!
Yes. Swap the wine for white grape juice or a non-alcoholic wine, and skip the triple sec or sub orange juice.
No, but it adds a really nice light, refreshing finish right before serving.

If you make this springtime sangria, just know it will disappear fast. Happy hour couldn’t come quick enough!
