A combination of crisp cucumber, tart apple, hearty kale and zingy lime, this cucumber apple smoothie is a refreshing way to add a powerful dose of nutrition to your day.

- 1/2 large green apple, sliced or chopped into chunks
- 1 small Persian cucumber (or about 1/3 English cucumber), sliced
- 10 mint leaves
- 1/4-inch knob ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1 cup kale, leaves removed from ribs
- 1/2 lime, juice of
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1/2 cup ice water
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until completely smooth. (It’s up to you whether you’d like to include ice cubes or just the ice water, I’ve done it both ways.)
